Hydraulic

A Hydraulic actuator is a cylinder or fluid motor that converts fluid pressure into energy. The hydraulic cylinder converts the energy into a linear motion. The hydraulic motor converts the energy into rotary motion.

Each cylinder and motor has several different subtypes intended for specific design applications.

Hydraulic actuators are more commonly used over extended periods of time, and operate with minimal mechanical parts.
